Objectives
Mohammed 1st University and the Faculty of Sciences of Oujda in collaboration with the Moroccan Association of Catalysis and Environment organise the 4th International Symposium on “Clay and Environment” in order to increase the awareness of population, Public authorities, researchers, socio-economic actors of the various problems relating to the Environment by using the natural materials that have positive effects and a major contribution to the struggle against all the potential problems that can affect the environment .
In this scientific event, the participants are to raise all the questions and think deeply about all the possibilities of valuation, recycling and the application of clay in preserving the environment so as to reach suitable solutions for this scourge.
As a matter of fact, the main objective of the present scientific manifestation, which is about “Clay and Environment”, is to highlighting the level of progress realised in the domain of science, technology and the application of clay in preserving the environment. The event is in fact a forum and an intersection point where the different participants will have the opportunity to exchange the know-how and also fortify their ties.
A particular attention will be devoted to the relationship between academics and the industrial sector to promote the opening of University on the socio-economic development. This three-day meeting will host lectures, oral communications, posters and exhibition stands of scientific materials, especially during the first two days of the Symposium. The third day will be devoted to a tour of the northeastern region of Morocco archaeological sites and deposits of bentonite clays.
